The Canvas Calendar

The Calendar is a great way to view everything you have to do for all your courses in one place. You can view calendar events by day, week, month, or agenda list. You can view all of your personal and Course calendars, or select which ones to see.

  • Each item on the calendar is color-coded to match the courses or calendars in the sidebar.
  • Icons next to the assignment title reflects the assignment type:
    • Discussion
    • Assignment Assignment icon.png
    • Quiz
    • Events
  • Hover your mouse over an assignment or event to view full details.
  • Once an assignment has been submitted, it is crossed out on the Calendar.

The Calendar List

The calendar list includes a color box next to each course and one for your personal calendar. If the color box is a solid color, the calendar is turned on. Events, assignments, and to-do items for that course are shown.

Your personal calendar is labeled with your name. You can add events or to-do items to your calendar to keep track of what you have to get done.
