Planning and Teaching- Component 2

1. Use Planning C2 Connecting to 5 CP and AAT.docx to plan your instruction. BEFORE teaching this unit of instruction, share this plan with your cohort to get feedback. Ask them to check for connections to the Architecture of Accomplished Teaching and your Level 4 rubric.

2. Use the Analysis and Reflection-Component Two.docx form to analyze and reflect on what you must teach, what your certificate standards says about that, and how your practice compares. This will save you heartache later in the year!

3. GOALS-Confused about what are high, worthwhile goals? Basically, goals should be important concepts, specific, tied to student needs, and measurable. We have some resources:

Look over this description of effective goals and a sample goal.
Tie your goal to Webb's Depth of Knowledge. You can do this sort to test your ability to recognize more cognitively demanding actions. (Here's the answer sheet!)
Look over goals taken from candidate entries. Discuss how to make them better.
