The CCS Canvas Experience

This fall, eLearning in Columbus City Schools is getting an upgrade with our Learning Technology Department’s introduction of Canvas LMS. The new learning management system is a collaborative platform that connects all aspects of written, taught, and assessed curriculum - in one convenient location!

To help create the framework, the Learning Technology team is working with veteran educators from across the district to build course blueprints for their fellow teachers and pilot Canvas in their classrooms. Each of these educators provides unique perspectives on the role of the platform in our district.

We recently spoke with several of our blueprint writers to get a glimpse into how they’ve used technology in their classrooms and the benefits of Canvas’ implementation in Columbus City Schools.
